The AAI Family

    It's 9:12 AM on Friday morning.  I'm sitting on my sofa, watching the river roll by outside my window, and downloading tunes for my next AAI set.  This will be my 52nd set!  Hardly seems possible, but I truly feel like THIS weeks set is the best set I've EVER made!!  52 times I've thought to myself (and probably said out loud to more than a few people), "OMG, this set is epic!  No doubt my best one yet!".  And each week after my set finishes on Tuesday night, I think "How will I ever top that set?!.  But the new music just keeps pouring out, and I can barely squeeze it all in to a 2 hours each week.

    I could never really explain how happy it makes me to share music with friends from all over the world via Second Life.  I literally have trouble sleeping on Monday nights because I get so excited for Tuesday, and as most of you know, I have every set I've ever done in a notebook.  (Yes, I'm a dork. :p)

    The friends I've met there, The belly-aches from laughing so hard, the amazing music from each and every DJ, Colin The Camel, Iain's 'AAI Quotes', Meri's beaming personality and amazing outfits, Graz's jokes, Thom's group hello's, Josie's book reviews, Cos's army and motorcycle talk, Wurfi's falls and yeeeehaws, Liela and Jams synchronized dancing, Zhu and his giant liquor bottle, .....These are all things I love about AAI, and the list could go on for days!!  Thank you to anyone and everyone who has ever been to AAI and made it what it is today.... My Family:)  xo

 

Happy Birthday Grazzle!

Yep, it's Graz's birthday and he's another year older. Hip Hip... Hooray! He's gone off today to have a lovely day in the sunshine and perhaps drink some beer. God bless him and all that sail in him. He's looking good for 52 as well. Snorks.

Cupig and Piss Off Postie!

It's amazing what and who you can see if you hang around AAi often enough.

First off Cupig turned up and we all dived for cover, because, as Zhu said, anything could happen.

Secondly, we got a sneak preview of what looks like being a fabulously entertaining photoshoot from our friend Piedmont Cartauld (remember, we suggested you go have a looksee at his blog yesterday?)

Pie says 'Piss off Postie!' and you'll have to wait for his full Young Ones review on his blog, which I'm going to link from this one when I figure out how to do it :)

The very stylish Ms Deede Monday with her unusually naked, nooby other-half, Mr Ricco Monday dancing at AAi. You have got to admire the cojones of a guy who will not only strip, but reset his avatar to basic male in a room of people without even stopping dancing - even though his actual cojones were noticeably absent. :) Kudos.

Well Hi! and welcome to the new AAi blog. This blog is written for the people by the people - or that's the general idea. If you are a DJ or regular at AAi and you would like to post to this blog about your times at AAi, to share photos or to talk about an upcoming set, just let Meri know and she can give you posting permissions.

I'd especially like to thank the friends who came to my utterly silly 'Naked Smurf Disco Party' last night. You're all smurftastic and I'm sorry if I smurfed over anyone. I was a little over-excited.
